Mountain bike region

The "door to the natural park" – like the quiet mountain village in the heart of the Dolomites is called. Surrounded by untouched nature, La Val is an ideal starting point for many walking tours, fixed rope routes and mountain bike tours. Farmsteads, chapels and impressive massifs of the Dolomites mould the landscape. There are also many legends and myths about the little village: the Salvans and the Gannes inhabited many years ago this village on the steep hillside and legends tell that they are haunting in the caves of the Heiligkreuzkofel.

Today almost 1.200 people are living in La Val in Alta Badia. The unique mountains of the valley invite like no other area to hike or bike in the Dolomites. A particularly loved destination is the geological interesting Natural Park Puez-Geisler.

The region of the Dolomites has no longer to be introduced to bikers. It's already known as bike paradise all over the year. The area couldn't be more variegated and alluring: easy and difficult daily tours or challenging multiday tours – every biker will find the right one.

But the region is not attracting only sportsmen, it offers also many cultural highlights and local gastronomic specialties.
